Beginning February 6th through March 26th many people from the public came out and spoke at the Common Council meetings. People spoke in favor and in opposition to the proposed project. We don’t want to forget who these people are and what they had to say.
The Council meetings listed below are arranged based on the number of speakers.
March 5th Common Council meeting – Public Hearing on the Sale of 27 Market Street to RSS
28 people from the community spoke with thoughts, ideas and concerns on the proposed RSS project. These speakers start at the 47 minute mark.

March 26th Common Council meeting
The audio quality is not as good at this Council meeting. There were about 10-12 speakers from the community that spoke on RSS. The public petitioners start at the 31 minute mark.

March 19th Common Council meeting
This meeting was not recorded due to technical difficulties that the City of Oneonta experienced. About 5 people from the community spoke on RSS.
March 3rd Event at Hartwick College
This is a high quality video. Unlike the other videos on this page, this March 3rd event was not a Council Meeting. This event took place at Hartwick and was organized by a group of residents who felt the City did not give the public enough time to voice opinions on the proposed RSS project. The event was moderated by Dan Butterman and was reported on in the media (click here for article). The event lasted two hours with about 30 speakers. The first 41 minutes was recorded which includes the first 12 speakers (video below).
